Personal Insight
Although a symptom or specific issue is what usually leads us to initiate therapy, often my patients choose to remain in therapy after their symptoms or issues have resolved. They want to continue to work together to gain further understanding and insight into themselves. Therapy does not have to be associated with fixing a specific problem or treating a set of symptoms. Understanding the different aspects of one's own mind can be an exciting and rewarding journey which can lead to a greater sense of purpose and fulfillment.
